Give your upcycled furniture and home decor projects a deep purple gemstone look with Dixie Belle's Amethyst furniture paint! No need to worry about chipping or fading - this paint will give your projects an eye-catching finish that will last. Plus, it's water-based and non-toxic, so it's safe to use in the home! Let your creativity sparkle!

With this paint there is no need to sand, prime, or seal; it's got a beautiful finish that's worth exploring. And if you're feeling adventurous, please take our finishing pads and give your lovely little project that quick buff - the smoother than butter finish is like icing on top of this already delicious cake.

  1. Clean your piece, preferably with Dixie Belle White Lightning Cleaner, to remove dust and grime.
  2. Paint with your favorite Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint color using a lightly dampened brush. We also recommend using a misting bottle, to mist your piece as you paint, allowing the paint to brush on smoother.

Most pieces will take 1 to 2 coats for full coverage. Occasionally, after the first coat dries, it’ll look blotchy. Do not freak out! It’ll be beautiful after the second coat!

Sometimes you will see brushstrokes, don't worry, as the paint dries, they will disappear. Dixie Belle Paint is self leveling.

Dry time: 15 minutes - Cure time: 21-30 days

Love the color!

I have always used Dixie Belle paints for my refinishing projects. The paint gives great coverage and goes on smoothly. I did a test swatch of amethyst so I could gauge the color before applying it to my project. It’s beautiful.
