DESCRIPTION How To Use

This clear coat provides protection and durability to any of you DIY projects.

  • The Satin finish provides a just right satin-y finish!!
  • The Glossy finish provides a shinier finish, but not super shiny!
  • Or, keep that Flat, chalky finish (this formula leaves a completely flat finish!).

Available in 8 oz, 16 oz, and 32 oz containers.

Step 1: Allow Chalk Mineral Paint to dry completely. Stir Well!
Step 2: Apply (thin) a coat of Clear Coat. For added protection, apply another coat after 1 hour.
Note: You can add up to three coats.

If you are applying over a dark paint, we recommend adding a drop of the paint color into the clear coat to tint it and then apply it over the paint. (This helps to avoid streaks)

Dixie Belle's Chalk Mineral Paints do not require wax or any type of sealant. They have an beautiful finish just the way it dries. If you take our finishing pads and give a quick buff....the finish will be as smooth as butter. No chalky feel like other chalk paints can leave.

Inconsistent results

The first use of this product was just OK. Used recommended sponge, which was pretty much a vacuum for the product, leaving more in the sponge than on the secretary desk I'm refinishing. Tried a Wooster brush (specific to application) next, found the product to have already thickened in jar & left uneven finish. Sanded w 320, reapplied, sanded again & reapplied 3 times! Still not liking the finish. Won't purchase again or recommend.
